The Faith of Abraham

The Faith of Abraham

Most people have faith in God, but not everyone has achieved success in their faith simply because their faith lacks foundation. When faith is based upon the solid foundation of the Word of God, it has quality. And it is exactly this kind of faith that we can call quality faith - a faith that promotes or brings a life of quality.
The lack of quality in faith is exactly the reason why most religious people do not obtain practical results from their faith, even though they have faith in God. Life depends on faith. But if faith lacks quality, then life also will be a life that lacks quality.
Let's take for example our father in faith, Abraham, for the following reason: The Lord teaches us, saying, "Look to Abraham..." (Isaiah 51.2). Therefore, we should imitate him in faith and in obedience.
It was through his courage and boldness that he materialized the faith of the heart, when he offered his son Isaac. Besides having a courageous faith, he was patient to wait for the fulfillment of the promise.
Abraham had the privilege of being the first to receive the promise of God with an oath. Through him, all those who believe are blessed, but only those who are of faith are the true Abrahamic descendants and heirs.
It is not according to the law that Abraham's descendants will inherit his blessings, but according to the same quality of faith in God that he manifested.
Because of the nature of his faith, Abraham became God's friend and heir of all His promises. He was elected by him because of the sincerity of his heart and, ultimately, because of the covenant.
To be continued.

One Child is Dead and the Other One is Alive

Lack of decision has been probably the root of failures, disappointment, and shame of many people, there’s nothing worst than to be undecided on what you have to do. How many people are able to star something but never accomplish their goals, they never go all the way to reach out their targets?

Many times in life we have to make decisions even if we have to oppose our own will but if that decision is going to bring benefit then, there’s no choice at all. Read what king Solomon decided to do to solve a matter between two women; “And the King said, “No, But your son is the dead one, and my son is the living one.” Then the King said, “Bring me a sword”, So they brought a sword before the king. And the king said, “Divide the living child in two, and give half to one and half to the other”, Then the woman whose son was living said to the king, for she yearned with compassion for her son; and she said, “O my lord, give her the living child, and by no means kill him,! But the other said, “Let him be neither mine nor yours, but divide him.” So the king answered and said, “Give the first woman the living child, and by no means kill him; she is his mother.” 1Kings 3. 23-27 That’s the way king Solomon solved the women’s problem. When you make right decision you change your life.

Holy Spirit

Be filled with the Spirit
5 August 2009

living water

“God does not give the Spirit by measure” (John 3.34). Even so, we are encouraged to be filled with the Spirit. Is this a contradiction? No, they are two different things. If on one hand God does not give His Spirit by measure, on the other hand, seeking the fullness of the Spirit is the wisest attitude to have.

I say wise because the more involved we are with God’s thoughts and “drink” from His Word, the firmer we become in our faith.

To be filled with the Spirit means to fill the emptiness of our mind with God’s ideas, thoughts and counsel. This neutralises doubts. That’s exactly what happens to those who visit this blog. Every day there is a glass of fresh water to quench and strengthen the thirsty. Internet users become more resistant to attacks of evil, don’t they?

Don’t attend church this Sunday just to fulfil an obligation! Go because you are thirsty to drink from the living water that only the Lord Jesus can offer you. This will turn you into a fountain of life for those who are suffering.

“I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.”(Revelation 21.6)

The Seal Of Eternity

The seal of eternity
4 August 2009

eternity

God the Father authorised and confirmed His Son, Jesus, as the single giver of eternal life, through the seal of the Holy Spirit (John 6.27), which means that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the divine seal of eternal life.

Not only was He sealed, but He is also the only one with the authority to seal His followers.

Of course, this is not meant for non-believers. Yet for His followers, it is the greatest of many privileges.

You do not receive this seal because you deserve to be sealed, but because you are sincere.

This Sunday, during the Seven Sundays of the Throne, all of His servants will go before the Throne of the Almighty with their needs and demand His promise.

If His Son needed the seal to overcome death, what about us, simple humans?

The Seal of the Spirit is the confirmation of God’s rights. Those that possess the seal are guaranteed eternal life.

Have you Ever Seen Any Difference in your life…?

‘Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him’ Malachi 3.18

How would you feel after paying faithfully all your bills including electric, gas, water, and when you get home after a hard day of work you find no electricity or water? Would this be a reason to rejoice? Would you simply keep quiet and let it go? Which reaction would you manifest before a situation like this? Would you call the electric company to complain or you would wait for them to come to your house and fix it?

How about to buy a cell phone, pay for a line service but whenever you want to make a phone call there’s no connection or there’s always a break down on your line in such a way that you cannot have any conversation, would you keep on paying that particular company for the same service?

Those who work hard day and night, no holiday, no vacation, no day off just to save money to send it to their families in other cities or countries for them to spend according to their own pleasure and needs? While they who work hard and are faithful to God are not able to enjoy a penny of the money they make!

We read in the verse above God promised to make the difference between those who serve Him and those who don’t serve Him, but how can this difference happen? What really needs to be done? Should those who are unbelievers stop prospering so that those who serve God start being successful? Definitely not!

What really needs to be done is that, those who serve God by being faithful and obedient to the point of giving back to Him the 10% of all they make to take a stand against their financial situation and demand from God what was promised by Him! God made this promise thousands of years ago when He challenged us to test Him saying, “And try me now in this, Says the Lord of hosts” Malachi 3.10

Once you accepted the challenge and give to Him 10% of all the money you make then you consequently have rights to enter His Holy presence and demand the abundant life promised in the Bible.

Has the windows of heaven been opened up for you? Has your room been filled with blessing to the top? Maybe you have seen your neighbor or relative who had never been to church enjoying these blessings.

How many times have they mocked you saying “Where is your God”? How long have you followed Christ but there’s no sign of victory in your life and you still depend on someone else?

There’s only one way to stop this curse and make the difference in your life; the way is to demand from God the fulfillment of what He promised in His Word.

This Sunday, August 2nd you’ve got the world best chance to make this difference!

You are not supposed to keep quiet before your problems, as faithful servants to God you have rights to make the difference in your life!
