Tithe of the Fear of God
‘And you shall eat before the Lord your God, in the place where He chooses to make His name abide, the tithe of your grain and your new wine and your oil, of the firstborn of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always.’ Deuteronomy 14. 22,23
The principle of giving tithe is the fear of the Lord, and this fear is exactly what gives us the assurance that we will lack nothing. Now, we understand why David said, ‘The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.’ Psalm 23.1
The problem of most of people is the fear they all have of what may happen to them in the future, many fear to lose jobs, houses, money, many fear death of family members or any relative, others fear to have a car accident and because of this fear they end up depending on resources in a way of getting any type of protection.
When we become faithful to God through tithe we at the same time become free from any sort of fear just because there’s a total assurance of victory. As he said,’ Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you’. Psalm 128.1,2
There’s no need to eat in anybody’s hands. Whatever you do shall be successful in such a way that you will be happy in every single thing that you do.
